Gréta Resort operates as a year-round resort open to visitors at any time of the year. Nevertheless, we naturally perceive the change of seasons and divide the year into four basic seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each of them has its own atmosphere, pace, target group of guests and thematic stays that are based on the traditions of Liptov, natural conditions and active lifestyle. Seasonality does not mean limitation for us, but on the contrary, an opportunity to show Liptov from different angles and offer guests always a slightly different, but equally authentic experience.

Spring at Gréta Resort: traditions, Easter and new beginnings

Spring is a time of awakening of nature and return to traditions that have deep roots in Liptov. Spring stays are thematically focused on Easter and folklore customs. Easter stays are among the most popular seasonal packages because they combine relaxation with authentic experiences that guests often remember for many years. The program includes folk crafts, competitions in making homemade halúški, knitting traditional korbáčs, painting Easter eggs and genuine Slovak oblievacka. The atmosphere is completed by a joint barbecue and an evening with folk music in the premises of our restaurant, where families, friends and guests from different corners of Slovakia naturally meet.

We always adapt our spring stays to the current date of Easter, as it changes every year according to the Gregorian calendar. Depending on the weather and current conditions, we combine the folklore program either with a ski trip in the mountains, or with the first hiking and cycling trips around the resort. Spring is never the same here, and that is precisely its charm.

Liptovská Mara Enviroden: a stay with added value

An integral part of the spring season at Gréta Resort is Envirodeň, focused on cleaning the banks of the Liptovská Mara reservoir. This is a project of which Gréta Resort is a long-time ambassador and which has already had several successful years. The aim of this activity is not only to beautify the surroundings of the reservoir, but also to lead guests and the public to a responsible relationship with nature. Envirodeň combines the pleasant with the useful - guests spend time in the fresh air, participate in community activities and at the same time have a good feeling that with their stay they have contributed to the protection of one of the most important natural places in the region.

Summer in Liptov: family, sports and mountain relaxation

The summer season is the strongest and most diverse at Gréta Resort. It is in the summer that families with children, athletes and individual tourists come to us, looking for active relaxation in nature and an escape from the heat. Liptov offers exceptional conditions in the summer months - cooler nights, fresh mountain air and the possibility of movement at altitudes that reach up to approximately 2000 meters. For many guests, a summer stay in Liptov becomes an ideal alternative to a seaside holiday.

Summer stays at Gréta Resort are built on a combination of sports, nature and relaxation. Guests have access to a wide range of cycling, hiking, water sports and informal joint activities, such as evening barbecues. The Liptovská Mara reservoir plays an important role, as it is a natural place for refreshment, water sports and relaxation by the water. The summer atmosphere is also complemented by hardening in the Kvačianka stream, where we have built a hardening place that operates year-round. This unconventional experience is gradually finding more and more fans among summer guests.

Autumn at Gréta Resort: peace, movement and Gréta Run

Autumn in Liptov is peaceful, colorful and extremely popular among guests who seek silence, clean air and active movement without the summer crowds. Nature plays with all colors and creates ideal conditions for hiking, cycling and running activities. It is during this period that we organize the sports event Gréta Run, which is designed for all ages and fitness levels.

Gréta Run offers children's tracks directly on the resort grounds, a medium track with a length of approximately seven kilometers and a main track with a length of up to eighteen kilometers. The tracks lead along the Kvačianka stream, towards the Kvačianska Valley and back to Liptovská Mara, with part of the race being run along a modern info-cycle path that connects the valley with the dam. The event has a family and community character and, in addition to sporting performance, also offers a pleasant atmosphere of meetings and joint movement in nature. Autumn is also the time when mushroom pickers, tourists and cyclists come to us, who want to enjoy the calmer side of Liptov.

Winter: family stays, discounts and wellness

The winter season at Gréta Resort has a festive and family-oriented character. We traditionally open it on December 26th and it is followed by winter stays associated with New Year's Eve, a ski trip and a rich regional program for children. Winter is a time when we strongly support family holidays, which is why we offer preferential conditions for families with children. Children are often accommodated with us for free or at very favorable prices, making a winter stay in Liptov accessible to a wider range of guests.

Guests can combine winter sports with a visit to the nearby aquaparks and thermal parks, which provide ideal relaxation after a day on the slopes. Our winter offer also includes our own wellness center, where guests can enjoy warmth, peace and regeneration.
