What you need to know about your stay at Gréta Resort – practical information
Are you planning a stay at our resort? We have prepared a summary of all the important information that will make your arrival, stay and departure easier. The goal is to make you feel comfortable with us from the first moment.
Transportation and practical tips before the trip
There are several ways to get to the resort. Integrated transport works great; you can take a train or bus to Liptovský Mikuláš and from there a bus directly in front of the hotel. If you are traveling by car, take the exit in Bešeňová or Liptovský Mikuláš from the D1 highway towards Liptovská Mara. Thanks to the new tunnel under Strečno, the journey to us is smoother.
What to pack?
• Swimwear: There are many water parks and thermal parks in the area.
• Sportswear: Hiking boots or sneakers and a waterproof jacket are enough.
• Sports equipment: Most guests come for active recreation, so we recommend that you bring your own bicycles or skis that you are used to. However, if this is inconvenient for you, we can arrange for you to rent e-bikes and other equipment within 24 hours through our partner Damisport.
We are a "lounge & friendly" hotel, so you won't need formal attire for dinner here. If you're looking for a better price, we recommend coming during the week when prices are lower and the roads are less busy.
Arrival and accommodation (Self Check-in)
If you arrive at our place when the restaurant is closed, use the combination lock under the handle of the main entrance door. We will send you the code by email or SMS. If you are staying in the main building, you will find key boxes on the right side marked with the room number. After entering the manual code from the message, you will receive the key. If you are staying in the wooden cottages, each has its own key box next to the entrance door. You will also receive the code by email or SMS.
Room layout:
• Main building: Rooms 01 to 09 are upstairs.
• Wooden cabins (Chatky): They are numbered from 1 to 5 towards the water.
◦ Ground floor (odd numbers): They contain a kitchenette and have a terrace.
◦ Floor (even numbers): They do not have a kitchenette, but they do have a full-size extra bed for an adult.
Parking is free right in front of each cottage (capacity 3 cars). If you have more vehicles, use the central parking lot in front of the main building or the resort parking lot behind the last cottage.
Unique Self-service concept
Our goal is to provide the customer with maximum comfort and independence, which is why we have introduced self-service . Of course, we provide physical service during the restaurant's opening hours. Then there is a bar in the restaurant where you can pour yourself a beer, kofola, make a coffee or have an alcoholic drink.
Payment options for consumption:
1. Sheets at the reception: You simply write down your consumption and pay when you leave.
2. QR code and Qerko app: You scan the code, select items in the app, and pay online.
3. Prepaid packages (additional service when booking accommodation online):
◦ Soft drinks + Beer: Unlimited soft drinks and beer.
◦ Soft drinks + Beer + Wine: Includes unlimited wine from suppliers Dubovský & Grančič, organic wine Domin & Kušický or Tokaj Ostrožovič.
◦ All inclusive: Full range of drinks including hard alcohol.
This system operates on the principle of maximum trust and is highly praised by our guests. However, we ask parents to be responsible for the consumption of minors.
Meals and special diets
Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00. Upon request, we can prepare a tourist package or arrange an earlier breakfast. Dinners in the form of half board are served from 18:00 to 19:00.
We are prepared for various intolerances (gluten-free, lactose-free, antihistamine). If you need special foods (e.g. low-fat cottage cheese) or have a diet, write to us in advance and we will provide them for you. There are not always refrigerators in the rooms, but we can store your food in the hotel's central refrigerator.
Nightlife and activities
After 22:00 PM, we kindly ask you to keep quiet in the restaurant. If you want to continue your entertainment, please use the wine bar on the ground floor. There is a fireplace, billiards, table football (calcetto), darts and table tennis on the terrace - all of these activities are free of charge for you. When leaving the premises, we kindly ask you to turn off the lights and put the empty bottles behind the bar.
Smoking is prohibited throughout the interior ; designated areas are outside in the gazebo or nearby. We also ask you to consistently use the containers for separate collection.
Morning routine in Liptov
Mornings are magical here. We turn on the coffee machine and juicer for you at 5:00 a.m. You can make organic tea from the Východná farm and practice Wim Hof breathing on sleeping mats in the gazebo or on the pier.
At the reception you will find maps with routes for a morning run or bike ride. We recommend the route towards Kvačianska dolina to the hardening cascade, through the viewpoint by the old pine tree and the giant swing.
Payments and billing
The standard is a 50% deposit via our web booking system and the balance on site in cash or by credit card. Self-checkout is also possible if you have paid the deposit in advance. If you need an invoice for a company or to redeem a holiday voucher, please let us know in advance by e-mail. We accept all common cards (Mastercard, Visa), please inquire in advance about non-standard cards. If you have a gift voucher (e.g. from Zlavomat), please state this when booking so that we can verify it in the system.
